Multi-Delay + Latching Glitch Processor (2022)
An extension of the Memory Collage Scrambler app built for Sarah Belle Reid’s electroacoustic opera. This version adds live audio inputs alongside the randomized sample playback engine, with a provision for triggering global randomizations based on either the sample clock or a special transient detection process on the external input signals. This version also borrows the delay/chorus/reverb section from the B400V application as an end-of chain processor.
Additionally, this patch supports quadraphonic panning, eight-channel control voltage generation (intended for use with Expert Sleepers ES-8 or other DC-coupled audio interfaces), and full preset memory.
This version of the patch was created to replace 2020’s Glitch Patch; though it approaches latching/repeating audio buffers differently, it can achieve many similar effects and ultimately is more reliable/robust. This patch has been used extensively in Sarah Belle Reid’s live performances, her opera, and in my own album Friends Unraveling.
